Muscat: In an official notice, the university stated that the decision was taken in coordination with updates issued by relevant authorities, prioritising the safety and well-being of students amid heavy rainfall and its associated impacts.
SQU confirmed that in-person classes will remain suspended on Sunday, March 29, 2026, with teaching to continue through remote learning platforms. The university also announced that all examinations scheduled for the same day will be postponed, with new dates to be communicated at a later stage.
The institution further clarified that regular on-campus classes will resume on Monday, March 30, 2026, once weather conditions stabilise.
