MUSCAT : A rockfall on the Wadi Adai–Amerat road has disrupted traffic, prompting authorities to divert vehicles and manage movement through two lanes, the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) said on Saturday.
The incident, caused by a partial mountain collapse, led to debris scattering across sections of the roadway, reducing visibility and posing risks to motorists.
Officials from the essential services sector (roads) confirmed that traffic has been rerouted while specialised teams work to clear the debris and ensure the road is safe for normal use.
