WASHINGTON : Trump claims Tehran is privately pushing for a deal despite downplaying progress in public.

In a social media post, Trump criticised Iranian negotiators involved in mediation efforts, alleging a disconnect between their public stance and behind-the-scenes actions.

According to him, Iranian representatives are “begging” the United States to reach an agreement, even as they maintain that they are only “reviewing” proposals on the table.

The remarks come amid renewed diplomatic activity involving Iran and international intermediaries. Adding another layer to the developments,

Pakistan has confirmed that it shared a 15-point plan proposed by the United States with Iranian authorities.

Pakistani officials stated that Tehran is currently considering the proposal, signalling that negotiations may still be active despite the sharp rhetoric.
