MUSCAT – The National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) confirmed in its latest update that several critical routes are currently closed to traffic under the Basic Services Sector (roads) assessment.
In North Al Batinah Governorate, the Sohar–Wadi Hibi Road and the Qumaira–Sa’a Road have been declared impassable. Meanwhile, in Al Dhahirah Governorate, both the Fada–Dhank Road and the Ibri–Hamra Al Duru Road are similarly inaccessible.
Officials are advising residents and motorists to avoid these areas, adhere strictly to safety guidance, and monitor official channels for further updates as weather conditions evolve.
Emergency services remain on standby, and the public is reminded to contact emergency number 9999 in case of urgent assistance.
