Muscat: Tarek Al-Sektioui, a Moroccan footballer-turned-coach with Dutch nationality and a UEFA coaching diploma, brings with him a wealth of international experience both on and off the pitch. He began his football journey in 1995 with Morocco Sports Club Fassi, quickly rising through the ranks and earning recognition as the best player at the 1997 African Youth Championship.
During his playing career, Al-Sektioui featured across leagues in the United Arab Emirates, Portugal, the Netherlands, and France, before returning to Morocco where he concluded his career on a high by leading his club to the 2010–2011 CAF Confederation Cup title. He also represented Morocco in the African Cup of Nations finals in 2004 and 2008.
Following his retirement in 2011, Al-Sektioui transitioned into coaching, starting with his former club before managing several Moroccan sides including Wydad Fassi, Morocco Tetouan, and Nahda Berkane. His coaching credentials were further solidified when he guided Nahda Berkane to the 2020 CAF Confederation Cup title.

At the international level, Al-Sektioui has enjoyed notable success. He led Morocco’s U-23 team to a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, clinched the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations title with the local national team, and secured the 2025 Arab Cup with Morocco’s senior side.
