Oman’s South Batinah signs RO 376,200 slaughterhouse operation contracts

The Governorate of South Al Batinah today signed contracts worth RO 376,200 for the management and operation of slaughterhouses in the governorate’s wilayats.

MUSCAT – The contracts were signed by His Excellency Eng. Masoud bin Said Al Hashmi, Governor of South Al Batinah, and representatives of the contracting companies.

Eng. Ya’rub bin Qahtan Al Yahy’ee, Assistant Director General of South Al Batinah Municipality, said that the contracts constitute a step forward in upgrading the existing partnership with the private sector in managing and operating municipal facilities.

Al Yahy’ee added that the contracts contribute to developing the system of services extended to the local community, including the operation of municipal slaughterhouses in the wilayats of South Al Batinah Governorate.

He pointed out that, through these contracts, the Governorate of South Al Batinah affirms its keenness to ensure the application of the highest standards of public health and abide by approved veterinary and technical specifications.
