MUSCAT : His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers of the Sultanate of Oman, has passed away, according to a statement issued by the Royal Court.
The statement said that Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said passed away on Thursday morning, March 12, 2026 after a lifetime of service to the nation.
One of the most senior statesmen in Oman, Sayyid Fahd served the country for decades and played a key role in government administration since the early years of the country’s modern renaissance. Throughout his career, he was known for his dedication to public service and his contributions to the development of state institutions.

The Royal Court expressed deep condolences and prayers, asking God Almighty to grant him mercy and place him among the righteous, and to grant patience and solace to his family.
