BEIJING : China reportedly ordered refineries to immediately stop exporting refined products in March to ensure domestic energy supplies. The directive applies to the supply of gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel and was issued by the country’s National Development and Reform Commission.

Energy experts say the move reflects China’s strategy to prioritize domestic demand and maintain price stability at a time of instability in international energy markets.
