NEW YORK : Council members will hear briefings from Rosemary DiCarlo, Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs; Jean-Pierre Lacroix, Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations; and Tom Fletcher, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs.
The council is also scheduled to vote on a draft resolution condemning attacks by Iran on Arab countries.
For the resolution to be adopted, at least nine of the council’s 15 members must vote in favour, with none of the five permanent members exercising their veto power.
