Muscat: Al Wahaibi described the opportunity to race at the Barcelona circuit as a unique milestone in his sporting journey. The iconic track, which has hosted Formula 1 and MotoGP races for decades, is considered one of the most famous circuits in the world.

Speaking ahead of the race, Al Wahaibi said the main objective of this participation is to gain valuable experience in circuit racing while aiming to achieve the best possible result.

Despite stepping into a new racing discipline, the Omani driver emphasized that his primary focus remains on the Challenger category of the Baja World Cup, where he currently leads the standings. The strong position in the championship, he said, motivates him to continue delivering positive results throughout the season.

Al Wahaibi will share driving duties with British racer John Lancaster, who brings extensive experience in circuit racing. Lancaster began his single-seater career in Formula Renault 2.0 in 2006 and later progressed through several championships, including competing in the GP2 Championship between 2012 and 2015.

“I am delighted to be working with John Lancaster on the team. His experience in circuit racing will help us extract the maximum potential from the car and deliver the best performance possible,” Al Wahaibi said.

The upcoming event marks another important step in Al Wahaibi’s diverse motorsport journey. His career began in motorcycle racing during his university studies in California, before moving into karting competitions and later building a strong presence in international rally racing, particularly in the FIA World Cup for Bajas.
