MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a telephone call from Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during which the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region.
According to Oman TV, the call reviewed the strong ties between the Sultanate of Oman and Iran and ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on recent regional developments and ongoing efforts aimed at reducing tensions.

During the conversation, His Majesty the Sultan reaffirmed Oman’s neutral stance and stressed the Sultanate’s commitment to supporting efforts that contribute to de-escalation and regional stability.
His Majesty the Sultan also expressed Oman’s rejection and condemnation of continued targeting of its territories, stressing that the Sultanate will take all necessary measures to safeguard its security and stability.
Both leaders underscored the importance of halting escalation and prioritising dialogue and diplomacy in order to prevent the conflict from spreading further and to protect the security and stability of countries across the region.
Oman has consistently played a key diplomatic role in promoting dialogue and peaceful solutions to regional tensions, maintaining communication channels with various international partners.
