MUSCAT — Oman has postponed the 30th edition of the Muscat International Book Fair, which was scheduled to take place from March 26 to April 5, 2026, following a review of the current situation in the region.

The announcement was made by Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Main Committee of the fair, according to Oman News Agency. A new date for the exhibition will be announced at a later stage.

Al Harrasi said the decision came after a comprehensive review of the prevailing conditions in the region and the considerations they impose, with the aim of ensuring the event is organised under appropriate circumstances.

He noted that the move also reflects a commitment to hosting the exhibition in a manner that reflects its cultural importance and prestigious status as one of the region’s most prominent cultural events.
