DUBAI : United Arab Emirates President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the country is facing a “time of war,” in his first public remarks since the escalation of the regional conflict.
“We are in a time of war,” Sheikh Mohamed said in remarks broadcast on Abu Dhabi TV, adding that the UAE will continue to fulfil its responsibility towards the country, its citizens and those who live within its borders.
Emphasising the country’s resilience, the president said the UAE is strong and determined in the face of challenges.

“The UAE has thick skin and bitter flesh — we are no easy prey,” he said.
The comments come as tensions continue to escalate across the region, with several Gulf countries on heightened alert following recent military developments.
