MUSCAT : According to reports from ESPNcricinfo, the England team will depart from Mumbai on Saturday evening after their semi-final defeat to India on Thursday. The squad will travel directly to London on a charter flight arranged by the ICC.
Meanwhile, the South Africa and West Indies teams, who have remained in Kolkata since their respective exits from the tournament, will leave India on a separate charter flight. The teams are expected to depart on Sunday, although final confirmation of the schedule is still awaited. Their flight will first travel to Johannesburg before continuing onward to Antigua for the West Indies squad.
South Africa were eliminated from the tournament after losing to New Zealand in the first semi-final on March 4, while West Indies have been in Kolkata since their defeat against India in the final Super Eight match on March 1.

West Indies head coach Daren Sammy recently took to social media platform X, posting “Day 6,” referring to the number of days the team had remained stranded in Kolkata following their last match.
The Zimbabwe team also experienced delays in departing India after their final match on March 1, although part of their contingent was able to leave the country on March 4.
Some members of the South African team management, along with players Keshav Maharaj, Jason Smith and George Linde, are scheduled to travel to New Zealand on Sunday for a limited-overs tour that begins on March 15.
The 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is set to conclude on Sunday, with India facing New Zealand in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
