MUSCAT : Two thrilling encounters kept spectators on the edge of their seats at the ongoing PSC Ramadan Cricket Tournament at PSM Ground, with Horizons (Cosmos) and MRP XI securing dramatic victories on Tuesday night.
In one of the most sensational matches of the tournament so far, Horizons (Cosmos) won the toss and elected to field against Jazz Boys. Their bowlers delivered an impressive performance, restricting the strong Jazz Boys lineup to just 84 runs.



Despite having a formidable batting order, Jazz Boys struggled to build momentum against disciplined bowling and sharp fielding from Horizons. Asif Khan was the only notable contributor with 22 runs, while Farhan led the bowling attack for Horizons with an impressive spell, claiming 2 wickets for 19 runs in his 2 overs.

Chasing the target, Horizons found themselves under pressure as Jazz Boys bowlers struck at crucial intervals, pushing the match to the final over. With the tension mounting, Sachin produced a sensational innings, smashing 34 runs off just 13 balls, including five towering sixes, to guide Horizons to victory with three balls to spare.
Sachin’s match-winning performance earned him the Man of the Match award, which was presented by chief guest Mr. Qamar Rana amid loud cheers from the crowd.
In the second match of the evening, Boom Boom International batted first against MRP XI and posted 88 runs in 8 overs, losing seven wickets. Tanweer was the top scorer with 16 runs, while no other batter managed to reach double digits. For MRP XI, Zia was the standout bowler, claiming two wickets.
Chasing 89 runs, MRP XI faced a stiff challenge but managed to pull off another dramatic finish. The match went down to the final ball of the 8th over, where MRP XI successfully chased the target to secure a thrilling victory.
The star of the chase was Faheem, who delivered a brilliant 44 runs off 21 balls, smashing five sixes and two fours to guide his team home. Faheem was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by chief guest Mr. Hafiz Mohammad Saeed in front of a lively and enthusiastic crowd supporting their teams.
