KOLKATA : Sanju Samson produced a match-winning masterclass under pressure as India sealed a dramatic victory over West Indies to book their place in the T20 World Cup semi-finals.
Chasing in a tense knockout clash, India needed seven runs off the final over. Samson, already well set, rose to the occasion in stunning fashion. After launching a towering six over square leg to level the scores, he finished the contest in style — chipping the winning boundary over mid-on with four balls to spare.
The moment sparked wild celebrations in the Indian camp. As the ball raced away, Samson dropped to his knees, removed his helmet and offered a quiet prayer a fitting end to a composed and courageous innings.
