TEHRAN : As fears of retaliation grow, the US Embassy in Qatar has issued a shelter-in-place order for its personnel and advised American citizens to do the same until further notice.

Israel’s Defence Minister confirmed that the country had launched a missile attack against Iran, triggering air-raid sirens across parts of Israel. Residents received emergency mobile alerts urging them to remain near protected areas.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that a nationwide alert was issued as a precautionary measure to prepare the public for the possibility of retaliatory missile fire from Iran. In a statement posted on Telegram, the Israeli military reiterated that citizens should stay close to shelters and strictly follow instructions from the Home Front Command.

Meanwhile, multiple explosions were heard in Iran’s capital, Tehran, as reports emerged of widespread disruption to cellphone communications in several parts of the city. Calls were reportedly not going through, raising concerns of a broader communications blackout. There are growing fears that internet services could also be disrupted.
