MUSCAT : Police in Oman’s South Al Batinah Governorate have arrested a man of Arab nationality on suspicion of fraud after he allegedly deceived an employee at a commercial outlet using a distraction tactic, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.
In a statement posted on its official social media account, the ROP said the suspect allegedly distracted the employee and handed over a high-denomination banknote before requesting the remaining balance to be returned.
Police said legal procedures are being completed against the suspect.
