MUSCAT — During the programme, ABM Student Leaders participated in Expo 2025 Osaka, showcasing Omani culture, engaging with global industry leaders, exploring cutting-edge technologies, and experiencing hands-on learning beyond the classroom.

The programme concluded with a closing ceremony on February 22, 2026 at the school premises, celebrating the students’ achievements and the impact of their journey. The event, held at the school premises, was attended by His Highness Sayyid Dr. Adham bin Turki Al Said and His Excellency Kiyoshi Serizawa, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate, alongside dignitaries, parents, and the participating ABM Student Leaders. The Ambassador’s presence symbolised a bridge between the two cultures, reflecting the international dialogue fostered during the students’ time in Japan.

Hamad Najim Al-Timami, ABM Executive Board Member, said, “We have seen the ‘Japan Effect’ in the hallways of ABM since the students’ return. It is evident in their increased confidence, their calm approach to challenges, and their renewed curiosity about the world. They have learned that leadership is not merely a title — it is the discipline of a martial artist and the creativity of a roboticist.”

Board Member Waheeda Abdulaziz Said added, “Innovation and experiential learning are at the very core of Ahmad Bin Majid International School. Through initiatives like this, our students are not only learning and innovating — they are growing into Omani ambassadors to the world, representing our culture, values, and leadership on a global stage.”

Najim Mohammed Al-Timami, Chairman of the Board of Directors, emphasised the programme’s alignment with the school’s founding vision: “This programme embodies the vision set forth by the founders of Ahmad Bin Majid: to develop the future generation of Omani leaders who can represent our country with excellence and pride on the global stage. By participating in this initiative, our students are not only learning — they are contributing to a legacy of leadership, cultural pride, and global engagement that will inspire generations to come.”

The initiative underscores ABM’s commitment to nurturing global citizens and equipping students with the skills, vision, and confidence to lead in an interconnected world. Highlights of the ceremony included interactive panel discussions between student ambassadors and a video presentation showcasing their activities, reflecting on Omani culture and values while deepening their understanding of Japan’s history, culture, and innovation.

Hamad further added: “This programme was inspired by the wise vision of His Majesty Haitham bin Tarik who has placed youth at the very centre of Oman Vision 2040. His Majesty has consistently emphasised that our greatest national resource is our human capital. By sending our students to Japan to engage with global industry leaders, diplomatic and cultural circles, and smart and sustainable cities, we are directly answering the call to build a productive and competitive economy. We are cultivating the innovative minds and global citizens required to lead our beloved Oman into a future defined by excellence, sustainability, and international partnership.”
