MUSCAT – In line with its digital transformation strategy and efforts to streamline procedures for investors, Dhofar Municipality has announced that electronic payment of applicable tax and violation fees for tourism and recreational establishments will come into effect on February 22, 2026.
The municipality stated that owners of hotels, tourist restaurants, amusement arcades and recreational facilities in the Dhofar Governorate will be required to process payments through the Dhofar Municipality e-services Portal (edm.gov.om).
The new system will cover tax fees imposed on hotels, tourist restaurants, amusement arcades and recreational activities, as well as applicable violation fees.
