RIYADH – Saudi Arabia has confirmed the sighting of the crescent moon, marking the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH from February 18.
The announcement was made after official moon-sighting observations were conducted at designated locations, including Hawtat Sudair and Tumair in Al-Majma’ah Governorate, north of Riyadh.
With the crescent confirmed, fasting across the Kingdom will commence at dawn, in line with the Islamic lunar calendar.
