NEW YORK : Veteran US journalist Anderson Cooper has reportedly resigned from long-running investigative news show ‘60 Minutes’ after nearly 20 years as a correspondent. Cooper, known for his on-field reporting and in-depth interviews, has played a key role in the programme since the 2006-2007 season. His departure marks one of the most significant personnel changes at CBS News in recent years.

The move comes is part of a broader reorganization at CBS News, as the network seeks fresh talent and new formats to engage younger audiences. While Cooper will continue to pursue other projects within CBS, his exit from ‘60 Minutes’ marks both the end of an era and a transitional moment for traditional broadcast journalism in the United States and around the world.
