MUSCAT — Raysut Cement Company said its board has appointed Salim Abdul Kader as Group Chief Executive Officer, effective Feb. 15, 2026, as the Omani cement producer positions itself for an operational turnaround in its core markets.

The company said in a statement to the Financial Services Authority and the Muscat Stock Exchange that the appointment was approved by its board of directors on Feb. 11.

Kader brings more than 30 years of experience in cement manufacturing and has spent the past 15 years leading transformation and repositioning efforts across Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, the company said. He has previously held C-suite roles in both listed and privately held companies.

Raysut Cement said Kader’s track record in driving performance and organisational renewal comes at a time when the company is seeking to strengthen its operational performance and execution strategy.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Durban-Westville and honours and cum laude master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.

Over the past two months, Kader has served as an adviser to the board and contributed to the development of the company’s 2026 business strategy and organisational renewal plans, Raysut Cement said, adding that it expects a smooth leadership transition under his people-centric approach.
