Tehran: Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Grossi confirmed that the IAEA has re-engaged with Tehran following the recent war waged by Israel, in which the United States also participated.

Grossi revealed that the agency returned to Iran after the conflict and was able to inspect all nuclear facilities, with the exception of sites that were bombed during the war. The inspections mark a significant step toward restoring oversight and transparency over Iran’s nuclear activities.

He emphasized that reaching an agreement with Tehran that satisfies the IAEA’s requirements is “entirely possible,” but acknowledged the process would be complex and challenging. According to Grossi, the resumption of dialogue signals renewed diplomatic efforts to stabilize the situation and reinforce international monitoring mechanisms.

The IAEA chief added that discussions are ongoing and that a decision on the next steps could be made in the coming days, raising cautious optimism about progress in one of the world’s most sensitive nuclear dossiers.
