Livigno, Italy: Japanese snowboarder Kokomo Murase won the gold medal in the women’s big air event at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics on Monday with an impressive performance.
Murase, who had already won the bronze medal four years ago, delighted the judges and spectators with a series of accurate and effective numbers. His gold medal was a major accomplishment in his career and highlighted Japan’s growing power in Olympic snowboarding.
