Muscat: Held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary for
Communications and Information Technology, the conference brings together academics, researchers,
policymakers, and industry practitioners from Oman and beyond to explore how business intelligence,
digital transformation, and emerging technologies can drive sustainable economic development.
Building on the success of the previous edition, ICSPBT 2026 focuses on the convergence of sustainability
and digital innovation, addressing key global challenges through interdisciplinary dialogue. The
conference aligns closely with Oman Vision 2040 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs), with a strong emphasis on generating actionable, future-oriented solutions.
“ICSPBT 2026 reflects MCBS’s commitment to advancing meaningful academic exchange that responds
directly to global sustainability challenges,” said Dr. Moosa Al Kindi, Dean of MCBS. “The conference
reinforces MCBS’ role as a platform by bringing together expertise in business, technology, finance, and
education where research, policy, and innovation intersect.”
The two-day conference features a comprehensive program of keynote addresses, paper presentations,
and thematic tracks covering areas such as digital technologies for sustainability, circular and
regenerative economies, green finance, sustainable leadership, climate justice, and human capital
development.
These discussions highlight the role of artificial intelligence, blockchain, ESG frameworks,
and responsible governance in building resilient and inclusive economies.
ICSPBT 2026 also offers significant publication opportunities, with accepted papers published in
conference proceedings indexed by Springer Nature, Emerald Publishing, and Scopus, and selected
papers featured in special and regular issues of leading international journals.
The conference features distinguished keynote speakers, including Prof. Miroslav Mateev, Chair of the
PRME Chapter Middle East and Vice President and Provost at the SEE Institute, and H.E. Dr. Ali bin Amer
Al Shidhani, whose keynote will address the role of digital transformation and advanced technologies in
accelerating sustainable development in Oman and beyond.
Organized in collaboration with EuroMid Academy of Business and Technology, ICSPBT 2026 underscores
MCBS’s dedication to advancing high-impact research, empowering Omani scholars, and strengthening
international academic collaboration.
The conference forms part of MCBS’s broader initiatives marking 30 years of educational leadership,
reinforcing its mission to deliver research-driven, globally engaged education that contributes
