Oman to train and employ 321 graduates under wind turbine manufacturing deal

A new cooperation agreement between Mawarid Turbine Company and the National University of Science and Technology will see 321 Omani graduates trained and employed as part of the nation’s first wind turbine manufacturing cohort.

MUSCAT : Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Mansoor bin Talib Al Hinai, Chairman of the Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR), a cooperation agreement was signed between Mawarid Turbine Company and the National University of Science and Technology (NUST).

The agreement continues the employment-linked training programme jointly implemented by the Ministry of Labour, APSR, and Mawarid Turbine Company. The program is designed to train and employ 321 Omani graduates as part of the first national cohort in wind turbine manufacturing.



The initiative includes advanced industrial training both inside and outside Oman, supporting operational readiness and facilitating the transfer of international expertise. Participants will gain practical experience at the company’s factory currently under development in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, preparing them for key roles in Oman’s growing renewable energy sector.
