RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, 90, was admitted to hospital in Riyadh on Friday to undergo routine medical examinations, the state news agency said.
In a brief statement, authorities said King Salman was admitted to King Faisal Specialist Hospital for medical tests, without providing further details.
King Salman, who rules the world’s largest oil exporter and is a key U.S. ally in the Middle East, received medical care for lung inflammation in 2024.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he last chaired a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
