MUSCAT — Oman Airports has appointed Nasser Al Sharji as its acting chief executive officer, the company said, adding to his existing responsibilities as chief executive of Oman Ground Handling Company (Transom).
The appointment was announced by Oman Airports’ board of directors, which said Al Sharji would oversee the strategic direction and operations of the national airport operator during the interim period.
Al Sharji brings more than 25 years of executive experience across sectors including logistics and public services. He has previously held senior leadership roles at several major national institutions, including ASYAD Group, OQ and Nama Water Services.

During his career, Al Sharji has been involved in the delivery of large-scale strategic initiatives and organisational transformation programmes at the national level, the company said.
He holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) and has specialised professional qualifications in supply chain management and procurement. Al Sharji has also served on multiple boards of directors and chaired a number of committees across different sectors.
