MUSCAT : Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will visit Oman on Wednesday, January 14, becoming the first foreign leader to be received by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in 2026, the Italian government said.
Meloni’s visit comes at the invitation of the Omani leadership and will include official talks with His Majesty the Sultan, according to a statement released by Rome. The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation across political, economic and strategic areas.
