MUSCAT — Oman’s low-cost carrier SalamAir said it has temporarily suspended all flights to Iran scheduled for January 10 and 11, citing the current situation in the country.

In a statement, the airline said the decision was taken in the interest of passenger safety and that it was closely monitoring developments. All affected passengers will be contacted directly to provide assistance and alternative arrangements.

SalamAir said it regretted the inconvenience caused by the cancellations and thanked customers for their understanding, noting that the circumstances were beyond the airline’s control.

The carrier added that its customer service teams remain available around the clock to support affected travellers.
