Muscat: Official data shows that total natural gas production, including imports, reached 52.136 billion cubic metres by the end of November 2025, marking a 0.6 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024, when production stood at 51.829 billion cubic metres.
The rise was largely supported by a strong increase in associated gas production, which climbed 11 per cent to 11.737 billion cubic metres. In contrast, non-associated gas production, including imports, declined by 2.1 per cent to 40.399 billion cubic metres.
Figures released by the National Center for Statistics and Information also indicate that natural gas usage mirrored production levels, growing by 0.6 per cent to reach 52.136 billion cubic metres over the same period.

On the consumption front, gas use for electricity generation rose by 1.4 per cent, reaching 14.274 billion cubic metres, underlining continued demand from the power sector. Consumption in industrial areas recorded a notable increase of 11.6 per cent, while usage in industrial projects declined by 3.6 per cent.
