Muscat: The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) is proud to announce the appointment of Her Highness Sayyida Ghada Jaifar Al Said as Chairperson of the Advisory Board for the Innovation X Hub. This strategic leadership appointment marks a new chapter in advancing MCBS’s mission to cultivate innovation, entrepreneurship, and impactful collaborations across sectors.
Her Highness Sayyida Ghada Jaifar Al Said brings extensive expertise in innovation ecosystems
and technology-driven enterprise development. She currently serves as Senior Manager at
Omantel Innovation Labs, where she leads efforts to stimulate startup growth and strengthen
Oman’s digital and entrepreneurial landscape. Her leadership has been instrumental in shaping
supportive environments for early-stage ventures and scaling entrepreneurial talent across the
Sultanate.

Innovation X Advisory Board,” said Dr Moosa Al Kindi, Dean of MCBS. “Her distinguished
experience in innovation leadership will be invaluable in guiding our efforts to empower the next
generation of entrepreneurs and strengthen Oman’s innovation capacity.”
Innovation X at MCBS is a state-of-the-art innovation and entrepreneurship platform that
empowers students, startups, and industry professionals by providing infrastructure,
mentorship, coaching, and ecosystem access to transform ideas into viable products, services,
and businesses. The hub supports MCBS’s strategic goals and aligns with Oman’s National
Innovation Strategy and the global Sustainable Development Goals (including SDG 8 on
economic growth, SDG 9 on industry and innovation, SDG 11 on sustainable cities and
communities, and SDG 17 on partnerships).
Since its official launch in June 2024 under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education,
Research, and Innovation, Innovation X has rapidly become a central component of MCBS’s
innovation-driven education model. The initiative bridges academic learning with real-world
application, fosters collaboration across disciplines, and accelerates the translation of research
and entrepreneurial ideas into market-ready solutions.
As Chairperson, Her Highness Sayyida Ghada will lead the Advisory Board in reinforcing
Innovation X’s vision to be recognized as a leading national and global center for innovation. Her
leadership is expected to accelerate collaboration with public- and private-sector partners,
expand opportunities for student innovators, and reinforce MCBS’s contribution to Oman’s
knowledge economy.
