KUWAIT CITY – The two Indian expatriates were arrested with large amounts of heroin and methamphetamine, commonly known as shabu, intended for local distribution.
The arrests took place in the Kaifan and Shuwaikh neighbourhoods, where security forces recovered 14 kilograms of heroin, 8 kilograms of methamphetamine, and two electronic weighing scales. The Criminal Court, led by Judge Khaled Al Tahous, ruled that the men were part of an international drug trafficking network operating from outside Kuwait.
According to reports by the Al Qabas newspaper, the seized drugs were discovered during coordinated security operations in residential areas, forming part of a wider campaign to disrupt organized drug networks. The Ministry of Interior had previously announced the operation, stating that intelligence work and close monitoring of suspects led to the discovery of narcotics ready for commercial distribution.
