RO 25 million treasury bills allocated by Oman as short-term yields hold steady

The total value of government treasury bills allocated this week reached RO 25 million, according to a statement issued by the Central Bank of Oman

Muscat: Of the total, RO 11 million was allocated for 28-day treasury bills, with an average accepted price of RO 99.707 per RO 100, while the lowest accepted price stood at RO 99.705. The average discount rate for the 28-day bills was 3.81591%, with an average yield of 3.82711%.

Meanwhile, RO 14 million was allocated for 91-day treasury bills, at an average accepted price of RO 99.031 per RO 100, and a lowest accepted price of RO 99.030. The average discount rate for this maturity reached 3.88779%, while the average yield stood at 3.92585%.

The Central Bank noted that the repurchase agreement (repo) rate on these treasury bills remains at 4.25%, while the discount rate on treasury bill facilities with the Central Bank is set at 4.75%.
