Muscat: Data showed that private vehicles continued to dominate the fleet, accounting for 1,458,764 vehicles, reflecting a 5 per cent increase compared to last year. Commercial vehicles followed with 272,233 units, registering a growth rate of 7.7 per cent. Rental vehicles recorded one of the sharpest rises, increasing by 12.4 per cent to reach 44,075 vehicles. Motorcycles also saw notable growth of 12.6 per cent, climbing to 8,609 units, while taxis rose marginally by 0.9 per cent to total 28,495 vehicles by the end of November 2025.
In terms of colour preferences, white remained the most common choice with 778,846 registered vehicles, followed by silver at 237,055 and grey at around 190,278. Black vehicles accounted for approximately 98,333 units, while blue vehicles recorded a significant rise, reaching 102,372.
Engine capacity data revealed that vehicles with engines between 1,500 and 3,000 cubic centimetres formed the largest segment, numbering 1,003,632 vehicles. This was followed by vehicles with a capacity of 3,001–4,500 cubic centimetres at about 407,507 units. Vehicles with engines exceeding 4,500 cubic centimetres reached around 228,025, while those below 1,500 cubic centimetres stood at 154,127 vehicles.

Weight-wise, vehicles weighing less than three tonnes represented the bulk of registrations, totalling 1,671,480 vehicles. Vehicles weighing between three and seven tonnes reached 53,459 units, those between seven and ten tonnes stood at 39,846, while vehicles weighing more than ten tonnes numbered approximately 77,866 by the end of November 2025.
