Muscat: According to a statement issued by the Central Bank of Oman, treasury bills with a 28-day maturity were allotted at a value of RO 3.2 million, with an average accepted price of RO 99.705 per RO 100. The lowest accepted price stood at RO 99.705, while the average discount rate reached 3.84554 per cent and the average yield 3.85691 per cent.
Treasury bills with a 91-day maturity accounted for the largest share, totalling RO 50 million. These were allocated at an average accepted price of RO 99.039, with the lowest accepted price at RO 99.030 per RO 100. The average discount rate stood at 3.85456 per cent, while the average yield was 3.89197 per cent.
Meanwhile, 182-day treasury bills amounted to RO 41.8 million, with an average accepted price of RO 89.077 and a lowest accepted price of RO 89.070 per RO 100. The average discount rate for this tranche reached 3.85722 per cent, while the average yield rose to 3.93286 per cent.

The Central Bank noted that the interest rate on repurchase agreements (repo) on these treasury bills is 4.25 per cent, while the discount rate on treasury bill facilities with the Bank stands at 4.75 per cent.
