MUSCAT : Oman’s Tax Authority has launched a new initiative titled the Tax Excellence Card, designed to recognise and reward taxpayers who demonstrate a strong record of voluntary tax compliance, the authority said.
The card, which will be issued for a validity period of two years from the date of issuance, is part of the Tax Authority’s broader efforts to embed a culture of compliance and build trust-based cooperation with taxpayers, in line with Oman Vision 2040.
In the first phase of the programme, 100 taxpayers have been selected to receive the Tax Excellence Card. The beneficiaries will be contacted directly by the Tax Authority, according to an official announcement.

The Tax Authority said the programme reflects its commitment to recognising best practices in tax compliance while supporting a more collaborative and efficient tax environment in the Sultanate.
