MUSCAT : The Royal Oman Police said traffic police team in Muscat have arrested a driver for carrying out dangerous stunts and causing public disturbance outside a school building in the Wilayat of Al Amerat.
In a statement, the General Directorate of Traffic said the driver was arrested after engaging in drifting and reckless driving in front of the school, producing loud and disturbing noises that disrupted public tranquillity and posed a risk to himself and other road users.
Police said the driver’s actions exposed pedestrians and motorists to danger and constituted a clear violation of traffic safety regulations.

Legal procedures against the suspect are currently under way, the Royal Oman Police added, reiterating its warning against reckless driving and behaviour that threatens public safety or disturbs community peace.
