Paris: In a joint statement published by the French Foreign Ministry, the signatory nations urged Israel to refrain from establishing 19 new settlements in the occupied West Bank and to cancel ongoing settlement expansion.
The statement called on the Israeli occupation authorities to reverse the decision and halt all settlement activity in line with UN Security Council Resolution 2234, which deems settlements illegal under international law.
The countries stressed that they remain “determined to support the Palestinian right to self-determination” and reiterated their commitment to “a just, comprehensive and viable peace based on the two-state solution.”

The condemnation follows the approval by the Israeli occupation government’s security cabinet of 19 new settlements, a decision that brings the total number of settlements approved over the past three years to 69.
