MUSCAT : Under the new arrangement, Omani citizens holding ordinary passports will be exempt from obtaining a prior tourist visa to enter Republic of Turkey, allowing them to stay for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
In line with the principle of reciprocity, Turkish citizens will also enjoy visa-free entry into Sultanate of Oman. They may stay for up to 30 consecutive days per visit, with a maximum total stay of 90 days within a 180-day period.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised Omani citizens planning to travel to Turkey to ensure that their passports are valid for at least six months from the date of entry. Travellers are also urged to obtain health insurance covering the entire duration of their stay, in line with international travel requirements.
