LAHORE : The case centres on gifts allegedly received from the Saudi government in 2021. Prosecutors accused the former first couple of unlawfully selling high-value items, including luxury watches and diamond and gold jewellery sets, without depositing them in the Toshakhana, Pakistan’s official state gift repository.
The case was filed in July 2024. While Bushra Bibi was granted bail by the Islamabad High Court in October 2024, Imran Khan received bail a month later. Both were formally indicted in December 2024.
Despite being out on bail in this case for a brief period, legal proceedings continued inside Adiala Jail, where Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have already been incarcerated following their conviction earlier this year in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

With the verdict now delivered, both convicts retain the right to challenge the ruling and file appeals before the High Court.
