Muscat: Al Dhahirah Media Forum highlights strategies for digital creativity and impact The Third Al Dhahirah Media Forum activities began today under the theme ‘Digital Content Creation: Strategies for Creativity and Impact.’ The forum is organised by the Communication and Media Department of Al Dhahirah Governorate and runs for three days.
It is held under the patronage of H.E. Najeeb bin Ali Al Rawas, Governor of Al Dhahirah, and attended by a number of officials, media professionals and content creators. The opening ceremony featured a welcome address outlining the forum’s vision and goals, which focus on building the capacities of media practitioners and advancing digital content creation practices in line with rapid developments in the sector, while reinforcing a professional and responsible media message.
The programme included a visual presentation highlighting key milestones from the forum’s 2nd edition, followed by a speech by the Director of the Communication and Media Department, who reviewed the department’s achievements and the trajectory of the Third Al Dhahirah Media Forum. The forum’s keynote speaker, Dr Sultan bin Khamis Al Yahyai, Chairman of the Journalists Committee in Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi Governorates, delivered a keynote address presenting his perspective on the future of digital content creation and the role of media in societal influence.
The forum also featured a visual presentation entitled ‘Humans and Nature,’ a panel discussion titled “The Digital Content Creation Journey: From Idea to Impact,” with the participation of a group of content creators, and a specialised working paper addressing key regulatory updates in the Executive Regulation of the Media Law, presented by Dr Mohammed bin Ali Al Hinai, Director General of the General Directorate of Publications and Artistic Works at the Ministry of Information. In addition, the forum showcased a leading Gulf experience in digital content creation presented by Ibrahim Al Anazi, alongside an accompanying exhibition featuring works by content creators and contributions from photographers displaying a collection of promotional images and video clips highlighting Al Dhahirah Governorate. The ceremony concluded with the recognition of participants and speakers in appreciation of their contributions and support to the media movement in Al Dhahirah Governorate.
The Third Al Dhahirah Media Forum comes as part of the governorate’s ongoing efforts to foster an enabling media environment, highlight creative talents, and promote responsible digital content that serves the community and enhances media awareness.
