MUSCAT : Based on the Personal Data Protection Law issued under Royal Decree No. 6/2022 and its executive regulations under Ministerial Decision No. 34/2024, the decision will come into effect on January 1, 2026.
Under the new decision, institutions holding an Entrepreneurship Card will pay RO 30 for the issuance or renewal of a personal data processing permit, which will be valid for five years.
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are required to pay RO 60 for the issuance or renewal of their permits, while other institutions and companies will pay RO 210.
