MANAMA – His Excellency Dr. Ramzan bin AbdullahAl Noaimi, Bahrain’s Minister of Information, and His Excellency Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC, toured the Ministry of Information’s pavilion after opening the Media Centre.
The pavilion showcased the Ministry’s applications, websites, and accounts, and the development it is undergoing in terms of readable, visual, audio, and electronic media content. It also displayed the tools for delivering news services and provided visitors with details of its content.
The pavilion also highlights Oman News Agency’s website, application, and social media accounts, underscoring the evolution of the Agency’s readable, visual, audio media content, and the electronic tools used to deliver news services, in addition to informing visitors about its content details.
The Directorate General of Electronic Media is also presenting the digital platform ‘Ayn’ in the pavilion. This platform features archival radio, television, and audio book content that reflects Omani culture and identity. It also showcases the qualitative media industry advancements achieved in digital content, alongside the Children’s Interface, which is the first media interface dedicated to children that contributes to promoting national identity and developing Omani talents.
The Media Centre includes work halls, a press conference hall, the Kingdom of Bahrain hall, and a dedicated venue for visual and audio media and print journalism, a photography area, and private work booths, in addition to media studios. The centre also hosts a library for digital materials and media, and an exhibition of GCC Summit photos organized by the GCC General Secretariat with the participation of all GCC news agencies, which displays photos representing their activity in covering events since the establishment of the GCC until now.
Furthermore, large screens are available to broadcast the Summit’s events moment-by-moment from inside the main meeting hall of the GCC leaders, alongside dedicated studios for live broadcasting by Arab television organizations, and a specialized section for satellite broadcasting, in cooperation with Bahrain TV.
