MUMBAI : Air India confirmed that a widespread third-party technical glitch has affected airport check-in systems nationwide, leading to delays across various carriers. Airport teams have been deployed on the ground to manage queues, assist passengers, and minimise inconvenience as the system gradually comes back online.
While restoration efforts are underway, the airline cautioned that some flights may continue to face delays until the system is fully stabilised. “Our airport teams are working diligently to ensure a smooth check-in experience for all passengers. While the system is progressively getting restored, some of our flights may continue to experience delays until the situation fully normalises,” the airline said in its advisory.
Passengers planning to travel have been urged to check their updated flight status at their official website before heading to the airport and to allow extra time for the check-in process.
