MUSCAT : The award was presented by His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, on the sidelines of the TAS Conclave 2025 at IntercityHotel, Muscat.
In his role at OQEP, Al Zakwani leads the company’s digital and IT agenda, overseeing strategy, governance, cybersecurity, ERP systems, and enterprise-wide digital transformation. He also spearheads continuous improvement programmes that enhance operational efficiency, optimize processes, and foster a culture of innovation and agility. By integrating digital initiatives with continuous improvement, he ensures that OQEP achieves sustainable growth, operational resilience, and long-term competitiveness.
A technology leader with over 15 years of experience in data science, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation, Al Zakwani previously served as Head of Digital Transformation at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), where he led advanced AI and machine learning initiatives to turn data into actionable insights. He also actively contributes to shaping AI policy, mentoring startups, and supporting national digital initiatives.
