New York: ECHO (Enhance Community through Harmonious Outreach), the New York–based charity organization, presented its Humanitarian Award 2025 to Dr. Baby Sam Samuel, New York-based noted speaker, author, Social Entrepreneur and President of Anjappam Charitable Trust.

ECHO, known for dedicating 100% of its efforts to social welfare, instituted the Humanitarian Award in 2021 to recognize individuals and small teams making significant contributions to humanitarian service. The award included USD 2,500 and a plaque of recognition.

This year’s recipient Dr. Samuel from New York was honored for his extensive social-impact work across countries.

Dr Samuel leads feeding programs for the underprivileged through the Anjappam Charitable Trust as its President and community healing initiatives through the Tau Kavu Compassion Hub.

He also serves in multiple other leadership roles, including Chairperson of MIND Trust, India; Advisory Board Member of the Different Arts Center, India; Director of nonprofits such as Abbott House and New York Council of Nonprofits, both based in New York; and Director at the Government agency, NYC DCAS. He also served as Chairman, Indian Schools in Oman and Vice Chairman, Knowledge Oman.

A TEDx speaker and accomplished mentor, Dr. Samuel has delivered over two hundred international keynote addresses and authored books such as Kanamethumillathe, Gandhi, and Twelve Plus.

The award was presented during ECHO’s Annual Fundraiser Dinner & Award Night at The Sterling Banquet Hall in Bethpage, NY, in the presence of community leaders, dignitaries from government and other supporters. Renowned magician Prof. Gopinath Muthukad graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

ECHO was founded in 2013 by six like-minded individuals and has since contributed humanitarian aid worth hundreds of thousands of dollars worldwide.
