MUSCAT : The EA stated that the closure is part of ongoing regulatory efforts designed to protect the reserve until protective measures for its sensitive environmental areas are fully completed.
The Authority assured livestock owners that access to the reserve will remain available for essential checks on their animals through a coordinated and organised mechanism. For inquiries, the EA can be reached via its hotline at 1991.
Reaffirming its commitment to supporting local communities living near the reserves or relying on their environmental resources, the Authority emphasised that these measures are crucial to ensuring the sustainability of natural resources and the preservation of biodiversity.
