MUSCAT – Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Azri, Director-General of the Centre, stated that the second Allocation offered 1,808 study opportunities, concentrated in fields such as management and commerce, information technology, engineering and related technologies, creative arts, and society and culture. He noted that 1,235 seats, representing 4.2 percent of the total seats, remained vacant due to an insufficient number of applicants meeting the required admission criteria.

Students can view their results through their accounts in the Higher Education Admission System using their ID number and password. Notifications of study opportunities have also been sent via text messages. Al-Azri urged all accepted students to complete enrolment procedures at higher education institutions from Wednesday, November 19 to Sunday, November 23, 2025, emphasising adherence to deadlines to secure their seats according to institutional registration procedures and the Student Guide.

He explained that the Centre will open registration for the seat retrieval service from Tuesday, November 24 to Thursday, November 25, 2025. Students who were offered a study seat but did not complete enrolment – marked as ‘not registered in any programme’ – are eligible to apply. Approval will depend on seat availability and the respective institution’s consent.

Following this phase, the Centre will tally remaining vacant seats in preparation for the third and final allocation, providing students who have not yet secured a seat another opportunity, provided they meet admission requirements.

For self-funded admissions at Sultan Qaboos University under the second allocation, registration will take place from Tuesday, December 9 to Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
